One of the cornerstone black teas of Yunnan, Dian Hong is oxidized by rapidly drying the leaves with hot air. This process contributes a signiture malty roast factor to the final product. Special cultivars are usually selected to retain a set of armoas strongly associated with the Dian Hong style.
